Rob Gronkowski announces he'll play for Patriots in 2018

Gronk ain't done with the Patriots just yet!

Today's Early Bird Report includes the Falcons' draft needs - with one position clearly at the top - as well as Rob Gronkowski's decision to return to the Patriots in 2018.

Gronkowski and his agent, Drew Rosenhaus, met with Patriots head coach Bill Belichick and informed him that Gronkowski would be playing in 2018.

The five-time Pro Bowler pulled in nine receptions and found the end zone twice during the Patriots' Super Bowl loss to the Eagles. The return of several key players from injury will help, but finding rookies who can contribute immediately is near the top of the team's wish list this offseason.

Though he initially declined to firmly commit to returning to the Patriots in the immediate aftermath of the game, he recently announced that he'll once again be competing in the upcoming 2018-2019 National Football League season. New England has a need for another edge rusher or two, and Carter seems like a solid pick, especially in the third round.

Rob Gronkowski and the Patriots have a future together. Previously, he was in a relationship with former New England Patriots cheerleader Camille Kostek from 2014 to 2017. According to Adam Schefter, it's now official: Gronk spikes will take place in 2018. The post ends speculation that has swirled since the Super Bowl that Gronk was headed for either a trade or retirement. Martellus Bennett retired this offseason and Dwayne Allen struggled last season. "I'm going to sit down in the next couple of weeks and see where I'm at". Who will the Patriots add to a defense that couldn't slow down a backup quarterback in the Super Bowl? He covers the New England Patriots and the NFL. I fully support what is best for the horse.
