Chris Paul is 'game-time decision' for Game 7

Now, it's looking like he's likely to see a similar fate for Game 7.

For the Warriors and Rockets, turnovers weren't more essential to either of these team's offenses than the average team. Their Western Conference final series is knotted at three games apiece.

Paul missed out on Game 6 after he injured his right hamstring late in the fourth quarter of Game 5 on Thursday night when he landed after a missed jump shot. Golden State got to within five with just over four minutes left in the half before a quick five points from James Harden and another three from Gordon put momentum back on Houston's side. Based on how the last two games had gone - with Houston coming out on the winning end of two close games - it would have been fair to think that this might be it for the Warriors.

The Warriors were down 17 in the second quarter, but went into the break staring at a 10-point deficit.

"We have an opportunity to re-establish ourselves at home, get a big win, keep ourselves alive, and then roll the dice into Game 7", Curry said. The Warriors are 16-8 all-time in Game 6 of postseason series. "(If) we take the same focus and execute the game plan like we should I have all the confidence in the world in this team". It has only happened nine times in the last decade and this is the first season since 1979 that both conference finals have gone to game seven.

Kerr was asked about Looney's status for Monday's game. We've got a whole city behind us, and they're as loyal as they come. "It's been awesome. I just like the Warriors a lot", said Calderas. "I would think the doctors and trainers are working on him 24 hours a day nearly". Probably doubtful, however they list it, or questionable. Mike D'Antoni said nothing about operating as if Paul wasn't going to be able to play and instead labeled Paul as a game-time decision.

D'Antoni acknowledged that Paul is "devastated" by the setback and described the rest of the Rockets as "devastated for him".

"He's just been getting treatment and trying to make sure it calms down and everything", D'Antoni said.

Houston will host Golden State on Monday at 9 p.m. ET at the Toyota Center.

"As Sports Illustrated points out, it was a return to the magic formula that the team is known: "(Coach) Steve Kerr eschewed the Kevin Durant isos and post-ups that allowed Houston to shrink the floor on defense in previous games.
