Klopp relaxed about Liverpool final match: This is our life

Liverpool star Joe Gomez has been ruled out of the upcoming Champions League final and faces a race to be fit in time for this summer's World Cup.

Apparently Gomez had not fully recovered from the ankle problem he sustained while on worldwide duty with England against Holland in March, and he has since aggravated it in the two league games.

Everyone gets excited by these kind of games - everyone wants to be there to support the team and cheer them on to win another European Cup - and continue this great run we're in and which we have always enjoyed [in this competition].

He joins fellow England worldwide Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain in missing the Champions League final and World Cup, while Emre Can remains under a cloud for the decider against Madrid due to a back complaint.

"However, Gomez will be ready for the start of Liverpool's pre-season training schedule in July following a rehabilitation period".

Jurgen Klopp's men host Brighton this Sunday in their final Premier League game, which could determine whether or not they finish in the top four.

Real Madrid defender Dani Carvajal has insisted that he will be fit for the Champions League final.

The versatile defender has allegedly undergone an operation on the problem, meaning that the player will be absent from the final top-flight game with Brighton & Hove Albion and the meeting with Real Madrid in Kiev.

After five matches in 17 days - including a draining two-legged Champions League semi-final with Roma - Klopp has a full week to prepare for the fixture.
