OnePlus 6 Launch Event Today: How to Watch, Specifications and Price

But before we dissect the 6T lets have a look at what we can expect from OnePlus's first flagship of 2018, set to launch globally today, at an event held in London. According the listing, the OnePlus 6 for the 64GB variant will be priced at $620 (approximately Rs 40,700) while the 128GB variant will be priced at $680 (approximately Rs 45,700). We have to say, the company has succeeded in creating a buzz around the flagship. OnePlus has also announced a partnership with HDFC Bank, which now sees the smartphone listed on its website available under its Smart Buy offer. OnePlus 6 will sport a 6-inch edge-to-edge display with a notch that is slated to deliver the best-in-class multimedia experience. But thankfully, the resemblance ends there. So, there is strong possibility that the device will support wireless charging, which was sorely missed in the nearly ideal predecessor (OnePlus 5T). OnePlus has been teasing the features of the smartphone in the form of tweets and as part of other social media promotion activities - ingress protection (IP) rating for water and dust resistance, for example.

If latest reports are to be believed, the new phone will differ from the current generation OnePlus in one crucial aspect: the price.

Ahead of the launch, OnePlus has shared many details about the phone. The device will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 mobile platform with Adreno 630 GPU. As said before, the use of glass on the back-shell indicate the phone will support wireless charging. OnePlus 6 is the successor of the a year ago launched OnePlus 5T.

OnePlus 6 launch event in India will take place in Mumbai at 3.00 pm.

While the rear side features 20MP and 16MP dual camera sensors, the front-facing camera features a 16MP sensor with enhanced capabilities. On the front, it is expected to get a 16-megapixel selfie camera. It has also partnered with Amazon in India to sell the flagship on the same date.

Apart from this, the leaked images from Amazon also showcase the presence of a single speaker at the bottom, a USB Type C port and a 3.5 mm headphone jack. So it's clear that users on Twitter want to know (as much as they can) about the OnePlus 6T before taking the leap and "settling" for a OnePlus 6. The 128GB storage variant is said to cost Rs. 39,999, while the OnePlus 6 price in India for the 256GB variant has not been revealed yet. It will come with up to 8GB RAM and 256GB storage.

The final big question mark is the phone's price. The Chinese handset maker has become one of the most successful hardware startup with the launch of OnePlus One in 2014.
