Samsung Galaxy J6 Release Date Announced

As expected, it doesnt have an Infinity Display (like the others do), instead it gets a 5.5” Super AMOLED with 720p resolution. The Galaxy J line-up is Samsung's most potent line-up in India, with the company going on to claim that there are as many as 60 million active Galaxy J phone users here. The smartphone will be launched at an event in Mumbai and it will go on sale in stores from May 22. "It's coming to take you #ToInfinityAndMore". In the video teaser posted by Samsung Mobile India, one can see that the focus is on the Infinity Display which it wants to bring to its budget smartphones, something the Chinese smartphone manufactured have already adopted.

The "Notify Me" registration page has also gone live on Samsung India's website, and, it shows the bottom portion of the Galaxy J6 that has a micro USB port (meh), primary microphone, and, a 3.5 mm headphone jack. The smartphone will Infinity Display with minimal bezels and an aspect ratio of 18.5:9. The Galaxy A-series is likely to be priced between Rs 20,000 and Rs 25,000 whereas the J series phone will mostly likely be place between the range of Rs 15,000 to Rs 20,000.

Samsung's European help forum responded by saying, "Following a limited number of cases where Galaxy S7 devices have rebooted unexpectedly with the Android 8.0 Oreo, we have temporarily stopped the rollout of the update".

Under-the-hood, it will come with Samsung's proprietary Exynos 7870 octa-core processor, which can clock CPU speed up to 1.6GHz. There are reports which suggested that the camera selection of the tablet will be high-end, with a 12-megapixel camera sensor on the rear and on the front the tablet will house an 8-megapixel camera sensor.

Budget Samsung features such as S bike mode and Ultra Data Savings are also likely to make a comeback.
