What you need to know about Pusha T’s merciless Drake diss

The rappers have been going tit for tat since 2012, but the beef cooled over the last few years.

Meanwhile, on the track, Pusha T got to rhyming about a woman who allegedly had a baby with Drake after Drake referenced his fiancée Virginia Williams on "Duppy Freestyle". The clever, scathing diss track features Pusha rapping over Jay-Z's "The Story of O.J." and its artwork shows Drake in blackface. Drake shot back with a "Duppy Freestyle" track, asked to be paid for giving Pusha publicity, and then really shot back on Instagram (after Pusha tweeted "Send the invoice for the extra 20") with a photo of a drafted invoice for $100,000 "re: promotional services and career reviving". "But we couldn't know about your child until you started selling sweatsuits and sneakers?"

Pusha T further claims that Drake is hiding his son with nude video model Sophie Brussaux and says that Drake initially ordered her to get an abortion. If, two decades ago, you told an XXL editor that the future of rap beef was a Canadian child star getting over on a real deal drug dealer, their eyes would've bugged Looney Tunes style. Being an old rapper in love with his glory days is one thing, but being an absent father is another, especially as Pusha levies the charges with the clinical tone of a guy doing his taxes. "Think the world needs truth". It mentions Drake's father Dennis Graham, and also Sophie Brussaux in the lines... "They said it was his idea, something he wanted to do".

Charlamagne points out that in Push's "Infrared" diss, also released Friday, he accused Drake of being a minstrel with "I don't tap-dance for the crackers and sing "Mammy.'" The Re-Up Gang member announced, "I'm prepared for everything".
