Apple's WWDC 2018 is here, and here's how to watch it

During Apple's WWDC keynote, we're expecting the company to announce iOS 12, which is tipped to feature more customization when compared to previous versions of iOS.

Users on Android or Windows devices can use the latest version of Chrome or Firefox browser to watch the live stream. The event which will be held between June 4-8 at the McEnery Convention Centre in San Jose, California has been a much awaited one.

Despite the excitement surrounding the WWDC each year, during 14 of the past 15 conferences, Apple shares have fallen over the course of the five-day event.

Apple and Google have been going head to head in a bid to attract more software developers to their platforms as they race to introduce more promising augmented reality (AR) tools. There could also be new watch faces including a Pride-themed one that's already leaked and fitness features.

With the latest macOS 10.13.5 update, we saw Messages introduced for iCloud, which lets you store messages with their attachments in iCloud, thus freeing up space on your Mac computer.

Reports suggest that the company will most likely not unveil new hardware during the event. The operating systems themselves won't be available to the general public until the Fall, but Apple does have an earlier public beta program for eager iPhone, iPad and Mac users.

Though rumblings about a new MacBook Air revamp have toned down, Apple is still expected to make a hardware debut or two during its WWDC event which saw the launch of the HomePod speaker past year. Apple is expected to speak more about its plans for its Siri voice assistant, physical and mental health, and augmented reality analysts.

Although there will be a huge amount of excitement around any new devices from Apple, the main feature of today's event is likely to be software. The WWDC 2018, just like its predecessors, will give us our first glimpse of the new iPhone and the Mac softwares.

When Apple takes the stage at WWDC 2018 on Monday, iOS 12 will be the most important product at the show. It is also expected that Apple will showcase some improvements related to its virtual assistant Siri, Apple News, and the way NFC is used in Apple devices at WWDC 2018.

We could also see a series of more minor announcements, including the ability to temporarily snooze notifications, track changes on the stock market, and even sending Animoji creations over FaceTime communications.
