Fortnite Is On the Switch! How to Get It Now

Not now, not ever. You will even be able to use the skin on other platforms tied to your Epic account, like PC and iOS. But if you're looking to cross-play with your PS4 buddies, that won't be possible as Sony have allegedly blocked any crossplay between the PS4 and Fortnite Switch versions. Boo! You'll also see more than a few Tweets on the issue if you search for "FortniteSwitch" this afternoon.

Nintendo announced that Fortnite: Battle Royale would be live in the USA from 10 AM PT on June 12.

While it does sound rage-inducing, we have to look at it from the PS4's perspective.

Instead, your only option is to create a new account entirely.

Don't panic - we had this problem ourselves, and it's actually a simple fix. Switch seems to be the trigger that makes your account incompatible.

Nintendo announced the news on Tuesday morning during its annual briefing at E3, the video game industry trade show held in Los Angeles. Provided Sony is responsible, it's effectively dictating where you're allowed to play using your main account (assuming the iPhone version won't cut it), not just your choice of device.

A recent leak suggested that Fortnite Nintendo Switch would be revealed during Nintendo's E3 Direct presentation.

Have you been patiently waiting for Nintendo to add more streaming partners to the Nintendo Switch? The game's rise in popularity has led to numerous other developers attempting to inject the mode into their own IPs, including Activision with Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 and EA with Battlefield V. Save it, then log out and log in to your Nintendo Switch account. You'll be able to take the L on public transport. Yay? You'd better make sure they're worth it.
