Melania Mystery Continues: First Lady Won't Accompany President To G7 Or Singapore

Donald Trump Jr., left, followed by Tiffany Trump, second from left, Jared Kushner, center, and Ivanka Trump, right, walk to Marine One on the South Lawn of the White House in Washington, Friday, June 1, 2018, as they head to Camp David for the weekend with President Donald Trump.

Donald Trump was scheduled to head to Maryland on Friday afternoon, but officials said his wife would not be boarding the presidential helicopter with him. As CNN notes, a year ago the White House only released a statement following the reception with a snippet of the first lady's remarks, so we probably shouldn't expect to see any photos from the event. She was last spotted with President Trump on May 10 at the Andrews Air Force Base as they welcomed home three Americans who had been held prisoner in North Korea.

A new conspiracy theory surrounding Melania Trump alleges the U.S. first lady didn't write that tweet announcing she was working hard and some postulate it was President Donald Trump who did.

Melania Trump's absence has been the subject of media speculation and even a bevy of online conspiracy theories.

"She looked attractive", said retired Sgt. 1st Class Diana Pike.

"She will not attend the G7 and there are no plans for her to travel to Singapore at this time", Grisham told AP.

This has caused some consternation regarding her wellbeing - something that the White House's attempts to address haven't really, well... addressed. The White House later announced that the surgery went well, and on May 16, FLOTUS tweeted that she was "doing well" and looking forward to returning to the White House.

The White House has released little information about her since the operation and Melania herself is under no public obligation to disclose what she has been doing.

"She is doing great".

Whatever the reason for her lengthy seclusion, those starting to suspect that the First Lady has disappeared altogether will at least have their concerns put to rest.

This was stated press Secretary of the first lady Stephanie Grisham, according to Reuters.
