Stargazers of Singapore have the wonderful opportunity to take a glimpse of the longest total lunar eclipse of the century coupled with Mars opposition on July 28. The eclipse will last one hour and 43 minutes with Africa, the Middle East and southern Asia having the best viewing window, according to AccuWeather. "That is why a full moon at or near lunar apogee adds to the duration of a total lunar eclipse", said Debiprosad Duari, a director, at the MP Birla Institute of Fundamental Research, MP Birla Planetarium, to PTI.

A "super blue blood moon" is a combination of a supermoon, blue moon and lunar eclipse.

Friday, July 27 around the world will experience the longest total lunar Eclipse in a hundred years. "If you were on the moon, you would see a total solar Eclipse because the Earth would block the Sun".

A view of the total lunar eclipse that was witnessed in Singapore on January 31, 2018. The moon appears to turn deep red or reddish brown.

Eclipse Medication: Find a place outdoors or by a window where you can sit with a clear view of the Moon. In Israel the partial eclipse will begin at 9:24 p.m., with the full eclipse visible from 10:30 p.m. and reaching its maximum at 11:21 p.m.

The outcome is generally that a solar eclipse is only seen by a relative few who fall beneath the moon's masking orb. This one will be visible for almost four hours, as the moon passes through the centre of Earth's shadow.

The Moon will pass through the Earth's shadow and thanks to some quirky physics, will colour the moon red for more than 100 minutes, according to NASA.

At the same time, Mars will hang just below the moon and shine brighter than it ever has in 15 years. Contrary to belief, Lunar Eclipse can be seen by the naked eye, and people won't have to use a special equipment and/or glasses to watch the moon.

The Blood Moon is an occurrence where sunlight causes the eclipsing sun to appear red in colour.

Sky Live TV will broadcast the lunar eclipse from Hess, Namibia and has the option for Spanish commentary also. The last time Mars was bigger and brighter than this was in 2003, when it was less than 56 million kilometres away from Earth.

Later its partial phase will start at 03:19am, and the penumbral eclipse will end by 4:29am.
