Demi Lovato's shocking 911 call has been released

Lovato's representative said Tuesday that the singer was recovering after she was reportedly hospitalized for an overdose.

When the dispatcher tells the woman to listen out for the sirens, the caller responds, "Wait, no sirens, please, right?"

TMZ shared the clip above, which saw Demi's friend ask for the ambulance to keep their sirens turned off as they approached the apartment, includes the emotional moment paramedics first reached the scene. The dispatcher denied the request noting "this is a medical emergency". I don't have control over that...

A recording of the 911 call - obtained by TMZ.com - hears a female talk with the 911 operator.

Speaking to E!, a source explained, "She slipped up and thought she could handle it".

According to United States publication TMZ, medics responded to an incident at her home in the Hollywood Hills.

"We just need to get somebody out here."

Interestingly enough, The "Power Parlor" was created in collaboration with Lovato prior to her recent hospitalization.

"Every time I go through something painful, I kind of just, I look up at the sky and I just go okay, I don't know why you're putting me through this, but there's a reason, help me figure it out", Lovato said at the time.

Lovato released a single in June called "Sober" in which she revealed she had relapsed after six years of sobriety.

When she couldn't wake Demi, she called emergency services.

He advises her to send someone out onto the street to flag the ambulance down, before advising them to gather up any medications the singer may be on and lock any family pets into a room.

It follows the claims that the "Sober" singer's pals had actually "saved Demi's life" after administering the star with Narcan, a nasal spray used to treat drug overdoses, according to US Weekly.

The Disney star has previously sought treatment for her addictions to alcohol, cocaine and OxyContin, most famously in 2010 after punching a backup dancer while on tour with the Jonas Brothers. Now, the singer's rep says "Demi is awake and with her family", and RadarOnline.com reports the "Skyscraper" singer will enter rehab.
