Zlatan Ibrahimovic says Paul Pogba proved his worth at the World Cup

The World Cup is the holy grail for all footballers and one Manchester United who can claim to have lifted it is Paul Pobga.

Pogba was heavily criticised before the tournament after an underwhelming season with United, and a France Football poll showed fans felt the midfielder was not even worth a starting role in Russian Federation.

Pogba's talents are undoubtable and a World Cup win is proof of that but he will have to prove his ability with Jose Mourinho's side as well.

"So many good players have never had the chance to be world champions or their country is not strong enough".

Pogba quickly realized that his club supporters at Manchester United may not have appreciated the rendition, so he made it clear that he was just joking.

"I hope that he understands why he was so good".

For a team managed by a man known for resilience as a defensive midfielder in his playing days, it would seem fitting that he would win the competition again - 20 years later - with a team unmistakably shaped in his image.

The rumour mills went into overdrive after the flashy midfielder was forced to watch some games from the dugout, but both player and manager insisted there was no problem and normal order was restored towards the end of the 2017/18 season.

During ITV's coverage of the tournament, he told the studio: "I don't mind Pogba dancing now".

"Now today I am a world champion". "They needed to focus on the job for their national team".

Russian Federation 2018 was potentially Messi's last chance at winning the World Cup with the Barcelona man set to be 35 by the time the Qatar competition rolls around.

That all but secured the victory, though Hugo Lloris did his best to let their opponents back into it with one of the most calamitous mistakes in World Cup history.

"I think Leo has to think about himself", Tevez told ESPN.

'I played with him for two years and people like to give their opinion, which they have the right to do, ' Ibrahimovic said.

Pogba emerged from the World Cup with a hugely enhanced reputation as he turned in some composed performances for Les Bleus before scoring a stunning goal in Sunday's win against Croatia in the final in Moscow.

Pogba played a major role in France's World Cup triumph in Russian Federation and despite a hard last season at Manchester United, the Frenchman is again being considered one of the superstars of world football.

Pogba is likely to miss the start of the Premier League season as he takes a well-deserved break, but the preparations are well underway for his club.
