Aretha Franklin Funeral: Details of Service, Including Superstar Guest List, Revealed

The high-profile status of Aretha Franklin's funeral has been circling the press cycle since news first broke of her death.

Furthermore, Pistons great Isiah Thomas is set to speak during the service.

Speakers include Bill Clinton, Reverend Al Sharpton, Reverend Jesse Jackson, Tyler Perry, Cicely Tyson, Clive Davis, and Smokey Robinson.

There'll be performances by Stevie Wonder, Ariana Grande, Jennifer Hudson, Fantasia, Faith Hill, Shirley Caesar, Chaka Khan and more.

Franklin died on August 16 at the age of 76 after a battle with pancreatic cancer.

Some of the meticulous details planned for the funeral include lining the streets of Detroit with pink Cadillacs, honoring both her hometown as well as her 1985 chart-topping hit by the same name.

Her invitation-only funeral is taking place at Greater Grace Temple, one of the largest and most famous churches in the city. On Thursday night, a sold-out tribute concert was held at Detroit's Chene Park Detroit Amphitheatre.

The street outside Greater Grace was filled Friday morning with pink Cadillacs - a nod to Franklin's funky '80s tune, "Freeway of Love", which prominently featured the auto in the lyrics and video.

The star gave her final performance last November at a gala in NY held in aid of the Elton John Aids Foundation. 'I love her. She was my longest friend'. "It's truly inspiring to see how many hearts, how many people my grandma has touched", said Victorie Franklin.

Even in her afterlife, the Queen of Soul is managing to make wardrobe changes.

Aretha's body lied in repose at the Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History in Detroit on August 27 and 28.
