Brighton must maintain performance levels, says manager Chris Hughton

Get started with betting on the next round of Premier League games. "They were of course against Manchester United at home and Liverpool away, so it's not a bad thing to be good in those games".

It was hardly vintage Liverpool, with Brighton fresh from their victory over Manchester United last week, well-organised at the back and frequently frustrating Jurgen Klopp's front three. We won the game very deservedly. But we need to make sure that in the areas we can realistically get points we need to pick up points.

The Premier League then stops for the worldwide break so it looks like the earliest we'll see Lovren in action is Liverpool's trip to Tottenham on September 15th. "I'm very happy so far and hopefully it stays like this".

The Reds take on the Seagulls at Anfield after a strong start to the campaign, in which they have won both their games without conceding.

Liverpool face Brighton today looking to maintain their ideal start to the new season.

Brighton went close to pulling themselves level in the 89th minute but goalkeeper Alisson Becker produced a good save to keep out Pascal Gross' header.

Hughton added: "It's a poor goal, we try and move on from that as quickly as possible".

"When you concede a goal like that, the disappointment can spread through the team and that can show, but I don't think it showed". Today we were probably a wee bit sloppy, the passes weren't quite flowing as much, but we still created a lot of chances and on another day it could've been three or four.

"Yes [a performance] to be proud of but we're disappointed as well because the form Liverpool are in you don't get many opportunities to get something from the game", Hughton told BT Sport. I thought over the 90 minutes they would have chances but I thought we did too.

"At 1-0 down at half-time most people expected Liverpool to push on, but I thought we got stronger as the game went on".
