Browns trade WR Corey Coleman to Bills for draft pick

Beane said he's aware of Coleman's struggles during his two seasons in Cleveland and hopes the former first-round draft pick takes advantage of a fresh start in Buffalo.

"It's time to take a big step", Coleman said as Browns camp opened. The Browns selected the Baylor product with the No. 15 pick in the 2016 draft.

Coleman caught 56 passes for 718 yards and five touchdowns in 19 career games with the Browns.

Hopefully a change of scenery will be just the ticket for this former Baylor star to kick-start his National Football League career.

Gordon will make $790,000 this year, the minimum salary for a player with two accrued seasons, after signing his exclusive-rights contract with the team this offseason.

Corey Coleman, the latest Browns first-round pick who didn't have much of a career in Cleveland. Add it all up, and none of Cleveland's last nine first-round picks have made it to their fifth-year option season. Buffalo enters the season with Kelvin Benjamin as their No. 1 option, and a lot of uncertainty. "Its low risk and we'll see what happens". The combination of Gordon and Landry is expected to be a potent one as long as the quarterback position can produce consistent results with veteran Tyrod Taylor or rookie Baker Mayfield under center during the 2018 campaign.

In football lore, he'll be remembered as the guy the Browns ended up with after hand delivering Carson Wentz to the Philadelphia Eagles with the second pick in the 2016 NFL Draft.
