Courtois talks Madrid move, Sarri says he has "good news"

Courtois talks Madrid move, Sarri says he has

But Sarri says the Belgian, who returns on Monday from post-World Cup leave, must explain his ambitions in person before Chelsea consider accepting a bid for him.

Maurizio Sarri expects David Luiz to have an integral role at Chelsea this season. "I spoke about positions and characteristics but no names", Sarri told reporters. "I want only players with very high level of motivation", said Sarri, who has replaced Antonio Conte in charge.

"My idea is to have two good goalkeepers, the two we have now, Marc and Jasper", he said.

He learned the game thanks to his mum, Maria Tereza Freitas, teaching him to play football on the beaches of the South American country as a child.

"I'm very happy with David, for his attitude". The Italian said that was one of the reasons his team were soundly beaten 2-0 by Manchester City in the Community Shield.

Sarri was quick to point out that City are considerably further ahead in their tactical development under Guardiola, yet he will still try to attack the Premier League champions today. "I would like to defend, if it is possible, but sometimes it is not possible, to defend in the other half". I played against City last season, played them in their best moment of the season.

One major concern remains, however, and that is the future of Eden Hazard, who is still strongly being linked with a move away from the club, and a transfer to La Liga giants Barcelona or Real Madrid. He will have to trade in trophies and he might as well start with the Shield.

Hazard is due back to Chelsea training tomorrow after having an extended holiday due to his run to the World Cup semi-final with Belgium this summer.
