Here's Your First Look at DOOM Eternal

Here's Your First Look at DOOM Eternal

A full-fledged sequel to the Doom reboot from 2016 was announced at Bethesda's E3 presentation earlier this year titled Doom Eternal. Doom has always been about "killing badass demons with big guns in unbelievable places", and Eternal doesn't look like it'll disappoint in that regard. To that end, the reel certainly doesn't disappoint.

As for the demons, classic characters like the Arch Vile, Arachnotron and Pain Elemental have returned, having been left out of DOOM 2016.

The game will feature an all new soundtrack by local composer Mick Gordon, who created the soundtrack for the first game, so fans will be happy and when you combine new music with new weapons and more, things will become quite interesting. The super shotgun also has a new grappling hook feature that'll snatch your enemies and rush you toward them for the kill shot. The entirety of the gameplay revolves around you shooting, slicing and dicing as many demons as you can in increasingly brutal ways. The development team has made the demons even more destructible this time around, so tearing them apart feels even better for the player. What we do know is that it's coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, and yes, Nintendo Switch.

It all looked just as over-the-top and gory (without being too gross) as you'd expect and towards the end of the footage you can see Doomguy descend into a more organic-looking hellscape.

No release date has been set for Doom Eternal.

DOOM ETERNAL - When will we hear more? It's unclear exactly how much of a role they'll play in the final game but perhaps we'll get to make sure they get their well-deserved ass-whooping.

When is the Doom Eternal gameplay reveal? His upgraded armour and arsenal are something to admire as Hugo Martin and Marty Stratton, the game's creative and game directors respectively, showed off his new enhanced armour and tools of the trade through conceptual art.
