Oncoming traffic attempted to dodge Heitmann, but he collided with a 2010 Kia minivan occupied by 43-year-old Aileen Pizarro and her 12-year-old daughter Aryana.

Commuters in San Diego, California were shocked to see a 2015 McLaren 650S speeding over 100 miles per hour in the wrong direction of the carpool lane at approximately 4:30 PM. Heitmann, who made his fortune on custom Counter-Strike: Global Offensive skins, was speeding the wrong way down state Route 805.

A auto goes up in flames after a fatal, 8-car crash on the 805 freeway Thursday.

In December, he posted a video showing his McLaren 650S, a high-powered supercar purchased with his earnings from YouTube and through the CS:GO skins market.

The series of collisions involving multiple vehicles - two of which wound up in flames - occurred on the northbound side of the freeway near Miramar Road shortly after 4:30 p.m. Thursday, according to the California Highway Patrol.

McSkillet, whose real name is Trevor Heitmann, had over 900,000 subscribers on YouTube, and was apparently making some pretty serious money off of the platform as well as gambling, gaming sponsorships, and selling content through his CSGO website.

The crash caused a chain reaction between five cars and one other person was injured. He was later known for trading "skins", digital files that are used to customize the appearance of players in the game, and was banned from an online marketplace for his trading.

"Yesterday, both my mother and sister were taken from our family in an instantaneous vehicle accident in San Diego", the account writes. The San Diego Union-Tribune reported that online speculation suggests the e-sport industry afforded Heitmann his lavish lifestyle-which included a 2015 British McLaren 650S sports auto that cost at him least $250,000.

Sanchez said CHP believes Heitmann was involved in an incident earlier in the day at a local elementary school.

Heitmann, 18, also died in the crash, which erupted into a fireball as other drivers smashed into flaming wreckage strewn across the highway lanes.
