Jon Gruden: 'Obviously, Khalil Mack didn't want to play here'

Jon Gruden: 'Obviously, Khalil Mack didn't want to play here'

"Starting out, we wanted to make sure that Khalil had the energy in the second half that we needed, " outside linebackers coach Brandon Staley said.

Mack had an electrifying debut with the Bears on Sunday night, accumulating a sack, a fumble recovery, and an interception return for a touchdown.

"We were running the ball well", Trubisky said.

"We have to get ready to play", Gruden said.

He did allow for a new morsel of information about the two-time NFL MVP. Carr especially struggled to deal with pressure last season, and the Rams should be able to get after the quarterback with Aaron Donald and Ndamukong Suh anchoring the line.

YES. I think I might pick Yes even if the payouts were even. But yeah (Rodgers) is sore. "Dr. McKenzie and Aaron (Rodgers) have a tremendous relationship, so those two guys will go through their process and the decision will be made". But I just had a feeling we could spark it and get things going, and we just put together a couple drives.

In the third quarter (score: 0 to 20), Patrick can be seen doing deep breathing in a suite.

"No, I did not lose a bet", Boyle said.

The Packers had to make a similar adjustment late in the 2014 season, when Rodgers was hobbled by a calf injury.

However, to the surprise of many - and in a testament to his bloody-mindedness - he returned to the sidelines for the second-half and appeared to be ready to play.

Vikings coach Mike Zimmer was asked about on how the Aaron Rodgers' injury impacts the Vikings in Week 2 since Minnesota will travel to play Green Bay.

"No, I plan on playing". DeShone Kizer is his backup quarterback.

Getty Chicago Bears pass-rusher Khalil Mack.

It's still way too early to declare the trade for Kizer a bust, but Damarious Randall did have an interception for the Browns, and Kizer nearly gave the game away. It included a 33-16 loss to the Vikings on October 29 in London. And then Randall ran about 80 yards for a touchdown. But they're not touchdowns.

"You've got to prepare as if you're the starter every week", Kizer said Monday.

"It was remarkable", Zimmer said. He'll work a lot this week. "You get down to the red zone and you come up with a bunch of field goals and it feels OK because we got some points and we are taking care of the football".
