Nick Saban Apologizes To ESPN Reporter Maria Taylor After Game

Nick Saban didn't waste any time to apologize to Maria Taylor for his conduct after Alabama's blowout win on Saturday.

"I still like both guys. I think both guys are good players", he said. Alright, so why do you continually try to get me to say something that doesn't respect one of them?

Tua Tagovailoa started the game over Jalen Hurts and ended up getting the majority of the playing time.

Tua Tagovailoa completed 12-of-16 pass attempts for 227 yards and two touchdowns. Meanwhile, Jalen Hurts completed 5-of-9 pass attempts for 70 yards and rushed for nine yards. However, Saban apparently issued an apology to Taylor, which felt necessary.

Saban refused to name a starting quarterback before Saturday night's game, even going so far as to refuse to tell Taylor who would go out on the field first right before the kickoff. "I'm not going to, so quit asking". Hurts has been the starter for the last two seasons, but Tagovailoa led Alabama to a victory in the national championship game a year ago against Georgia after Hurts was benched.

Head Coach Nick Saban of the Alabama Crimson Tide watches a play during the game against the Texas A&M Aggies at Kyle Field on September 14, 2013 in College Station, Texas.

Expect Saban to answer this question, however, soon when he decides Tagovailoa is going to be Alabama's starting quarterback.
