Sarri underlines his discontent despite Chelsea sitting atop the league table

But does he have the mentality of an elite goalscorer?

Sarri has publicly mused in his first two months in charge how Hazard should be aiming to reach the feats of Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, who are accustomed to scoring buckets of goals every year.

And the 24-year-old believes that now he is familiar with life at City and with the demands of the Premier League, his form will only continue to improve.

Chelsea FC finished in fifth place in the Premier League table last season to miss out on a Champions League spot for the second time in three seasons.

When measured against this benchmark, Hazard's average shot conversion rate of just under 18 percent is reasonable if not outstanding.

"I thought Hazard was one of the best players in Europe but now I am changing my mind that he is the best". According to Goal claiming that the Italian coach revealed that the Loftus-Cheek could feature in the first European game of the season but was unclear about whether or not he will be fit enough to start the game.

He went on to make more appearances than any other player in City's record-breaking campaign, emerging as a key part of the squad that won both the Premier League and Carabao Cup. "That's why he deserves to play all the minutes he's playing".

Such numbers should be cause for excitement among Chelsea supporters, but there's also reason for caution.

The Blues' new Italian boss wants to turn Chelsea into the best team in England, but insists he can not do so overnight, and remains convinced Liverpool and Manchester City will be the league's pacesetters this term. Jorginho might be a brilliant passer of the ball but he is not quite Kante when it comes to the defensive aspect of things.

And that resilience could yet field an unlikely title challenge after finishing 30 points adrift of Manchester City last season as they took the game away from Cardiff in the final 10 minutes. "When I'm on the pitch I'm just trying to create chances, score goals".

Chelsea's left flank was a constant threat as Hazard dovetailed with the rampaging Marcos Alonso from left-back.
