Spain coach says he has no doubts about goalkeeper De Gea

Former Barcelona boss Luis Enrique spoke warmly of the 32-year-old at his own briefing and Ramos was keen to return the compliment.

Ramos went on to lift the trophy for a third successive year as Madrid ran out 3-1 winners but found himself accused of setting out to deliberately injure Liverpool's key man.

"I don't know what's going to happen in the future but that's a position I haven't had any doubts about", Enrique said. "I never wanted to hurt a colleague on the pitch, so my conscience is really clear about what I did that night".

De Gea, 27, has been on the receiving end of lingering backlash over his place in the side following a less than impressive World Cup campaign which included a number of high profile mistakes.

La Furia Roja will be looking to Isco to lead the resurgence of the former world champions, with the player's creativity sure to be a lethal weapon for Spain.

Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos says he is not concerned about any potential backlash he might receive from fans at Wembley Stadium after his challenge on Mohamed Salah in the UEFA Champions League final.

That decision was reportedly opposed by numerous senior players in the Spain squad, including captain Sergio Ramos. "Maybe both of us have very strong characters but we share the same objectives and that is the national team". "I think the decision to stop using mobiles during meals is good because at times you are more focused on machines than speaking to a teammate".

He has of course got a great personality and a great presence on the pitch.

Spain got crashed out of the World Cup after being defeated in penalties against hosts Russian Federation. "We had to find clues and solve riddles", Isco added.

Spain didn't have its best performances during the group stage of the 2018 World Cup. "The aim is to evolve".
