Dems Looking to Bring Ocasio-Cortez Under Control

Lieberman went on Fox Business of all networks to tell host Neil Cavuto that he hopes she's not the future of the Democratic Party. "But it's a good example of what I'm talking about, a bright shiny new object, came out of nowhere and surprised people when she beat a very experienced congressman", she told CNN in December. The former bartender, who joined a climate-change protest in Speaker Nancy Pelosi's office during her freshman congressional orientation, also demanded the creation of a specific committee to further the implementation of a so-called "green new deal", but was refused that as well. "She's controversial", Lieberman continued. "But if you look at the majority of new Democrats in the House, they tend to be, I say, center-left, if they are not left-left".

Just kidding, she'll keep on plugging away on the exact social and environmental reforms she has been, which will ultimately do more to save us than Joe Lieberman ever did.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez's journey to Washington began in the Bronx, N.Y., where she was born to Puerto Rican parents.

Last year, Ocasio-Cortez was also mocked after lamenting the shuttering of a coffee shop in NY, even though it closed its doors thanks to the wage hike in the state - a policy that she supports. "And that is because they had to be center-left to win some of those competitive swing districts that they took from Republicans".

The New York State Workers' Compensation Board's website also shows that Ocasio-Cortez's campaign carried two other comp policies with the State Insurance Fund.

In responding to the Politico article Friday morning, Ocasio-Cortez quoted a character from the comic book Watchmen to signal her intention to resist the influence of more experienced lawmakers.

"In private conversations with Ocasio-Cortez over the past few months, Velázquez counseled Ocasio-Cortez against targeting her Democratic colleagues in future elections", Politico reported.
