Higuain's loan move to Chelsea imminent

Higuain's loan move to Chelsea imminent

Sevilla have ended their pursuit of signing Alvaro Morata on loan this month, leaving Atletico Madrid as the front runners for the striker's signature.

Romano also reported that AC Milan, the club at which Higuain is now on loan, is okay with the transfer.

Chelsea striker Alvaro Morata has reached a personal agreement to join Atletico Madrid, says Spanish football expert Guillem Balague.

A potential striker merry-go-around could also see Michy Batshuayi, whose loan agreement with Valencia was terminated last week, join AC Milan this month.

There has been no official confirmation yet, but Higuain didn't start against Juventus on Wednesday night.

"I'm not sure on him", Merson admitted to Sky Sports.

According to Cadena Ser, Barcelona executives have mixed feelings about bringing the former Real Madrid player to Camp Nou but could discuss his potential signing in Tuesday's board meeting.

From Juventus' Gonzalo Higuain (who's on loan at AC Milan) to Bournemouth's Callum Wilson. They may also choose to purchase him at any point during the loan or extend the loan until the end of the 2019/20 season.

The Spaniard has scored only nine goals across all competitions so far this season, with his last Premier league strike dating back to 4 November.

Morata spent the weekend in Madrid holding talks with a variety of potential suitors, though Sevilla have since pulled out of the race due to the cost of signing the Spain worldwide.

Chelsea will have to register Higuain as a member of their squad before 12pm on Friday, in order for the forward to play.
