Rami Malek confirms relationship with Bohemian Rhapsody co-star Lucy Boynton

Egyptian-American Rami Malek's portrayal of Freddie Mercury in "Bohemian Rhapsody" won him a Golden Globe on Sunday night, with Malek winning "Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture - Drama".

Bohemian Rhapsody also received two nominations at the SAG (or Screen Actors Guild) Awards, with Malek once more nominated for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Leading Role, while the entire cast is nominated for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture.

The FX series "The Americans" about a pair of Russian spies hiding out as husband-and-wife travel agents in the U.S.in the 1980s won the best TV drama Golden Globe Award for its sixth and final year.

"Thank you to Freddie Mercury for giving me the joy of a life time". "You have been my ally, my confidant, you are my love", Rami said. "This is for you, and because of you, gorgeous", Malek said.

Justin Hurwitz picked up his third Golden Globe when he won best original score for "First Man" on Sunday.

After the initial shock of the win settled in while he was on stage, the 37-year-old, LA-born actor did what everyone does at a ceremony like this does and thanked a bunch of people involved in the project.

"It's not something I really wish to talk about tonight", said producer Graham King.

Malek also thanked the band: "To Queen".

Hosting the Globes were comedian Andy Samberg and actress Sandra Oh, who made history as the first Asian woman to have presented a major awards show while also taking home her second Globe for Killing Eve.

There were deserved wins for Mahershala Ali for Green Book, a true story of race in America in the 1960s, and that film was the night's biggest victor.

He added cryptically: "I'm keeping tight-lipped".

Shape-shifting actor Christian Bale, who famously gained 40 pounds to play former Vice President Dick Cheney, won best actor in a comedy for "Vice". "This story, when I heard it, gave me hope, and I wanted to share that hope with you".
