Unai Emery Happy With Arsenal's Defensive Cover

Unai Emery recently revealed that Arsenal will sign a player only on loan this window and the Gunners might not have funds to complete the deal.

Perisic, who was instrumental in Croatia's appearance last summer in the World Cup final, is a key target as Arsenal manager Unai Emery attempts to improve his squad, but Inter have so far turned down the suggestion of a loan.

There also remain hopes a deal can be reached for Barcelona's Denis Suarez while the club have also been linked with moves for James Rodriguez, on loan at Bayern Munich from Real Madrid, and Paris Saint-Germain's Christopher Nkunku.

"I don't know [what will happen] because this transfer window is not easy".

"But the club say to me in the summer it is going to be different".

"I have had experience with different teams, teams like Sevilla and Valencia, where usually we sold players each season", he said.

And, Inter's director Marotta has since confirmed Perisic handed in a transfer request though no suitable offers have been made.

Emery did not indicate he was looking to bring in defensive reinforcements despite Sokratis Papastathopoulos and Laurent Koscielny both suffering injuries during Arsenal's FA Cup fourth-round defeat by Manchester United on Friday.

"We listened to the player, he has this desire".

Inter Milan will play Torino at Stadio Olimpico Grande later today, whereas, Arsenal will host Cardiff City at the Emirates in their next league match.

Koscielny, 33, suffered bruising and soft tissue swelling to his face and jaw and was "being reviewed on a daily basis".
