Bow Wow Arrested on Suspicion of Battery

Police charged Bow Wow and Holden with battery, since they have not been able to identify the aggressor.

The incident reportedly started after Bow Wow and the woman-Leslie Holden were arguing.

Officer Jarius Daugherty said in an email that the US rapper, whose given name is Shad Moss, was arrested early Saturday (US time).

Police say both were being processed and would be taken to the Fulton County jail.

Moss' Attorney, Joe S. Habachy, alleged to WSBT-TV in a statement that Holden was the primary aggressor.

Moss, 31, was released from Fulton County Jail on an $8,000 signature bond later Saturday, according to jail records.

Upon arriving on the scene, police noticed "minor visible injuries" on both parties; Holden told police that Moss had hit her, while Moss said Holden assaulted him.

Mugshots have been released of Bow Wow and girlfriend Kiyomi Leslie.

On Twitter, the rapper has been promoting a Super Bowl pop-up shop fashion event for his mother happening Friday and Saturday, reminding "ladies" to "sip and shop".

The police report stated that Bow Wow, who lives in Atlanta, and his female companion appeared to have injured one another.

Formerly known as Lil' Bow Wow, the "Shortie Like Mine" and "Take Ya Home" star jumped to fame when fellow rapper Snoop Dogg made him his protégé.
