Cardi B makes history with best rap album Grammy

While accepting the award, she appreciated her estranged husband, Offset and his Migos group; and all the artists featured on the album for their support.

While inundated with congratulatory messages for winning her first Grammy Award on Sunday, Cardi B accidentally thanked late legend Tom Petty for a bunch of flowers.

As far as not taking home any statues past year, Cardi used it as motivation. She took home the prize for her debut album Invasion Of Privacy while beating out competitions from Nipsey Hussle (Victory Lap), Travis Scott (Astroworld), and Pusha T (Daytona).

Video of Cardi's wardrobe malfunction shows the rapper twerking hard in a peacock-like burlesque outfit as the diamond necklace around her neck starts to slip off. "So it's like, if I don't get one, it means I have to triple the work and I'm going to keep on until I get one".

The rapper won for her album "Invasion of Privacy".

"Oh my goodness", she said, struggling to gather herself.

"I'm sorry, I just, oh the nerves are so bad", she said.

She added, "I remember last year when I didn't win for "Bodak Yellow" and everyone was like, 'Cardi got snubbed.' Now this year's a f***ing problem?"

Cardi B has hinted she will drop a new album in 2019, capitalizing on a year of runaway success. I want to say thank you so much, and this is such a handsome note.

Posting videos that saw her wax poetic on everything from cheating lovers to the qualities of the pancake chain restaurant IHOP, Cardi snagged a spot on the reality series "Love & Hip Hop", further amplifying her image.

Seconds later, however, the camera panned over to the mother of one shaking it on stage for her husband, Offset, who couldn't hide how much he was digging the song.
