Foldable Huawei Mate X Leaks Out Through A Poster In Barcelona

It makes the Samsung Galaxy Fold's tiny screen look (even more) embarrassing.

There's a new foldable phone in town and it is a beauty.

Here's our first impressions on a stunning new form factor for smartphones.

All of which means the Mate X can be split into three display sections depending on how it's folded. It's possible that the phone may actually cost a bit less in the U.S., but we can not be certain yet.

From there, the video dives into the Galaxy Fold's interface. These feats also grant the Mate X the title of the "world's thinnest foldable phone", too. The Android 9 Pie is being developed to fully support this capacity.

It also looks like Huawei may skip selfie cameras altogether, pushing the selfie duty to the rear main cameras. this is helped by the folded screen at the back.

The product comes with a 7.3-inch display when it has been unfolded and a 4.6-inch panel when folded.

The Mate X is a svelte thing that is only 11mm thick when fully closed and a ridiculous 5.4mm when unfolded. Neither Samsung nor Huawei are the first to launch foldable phones.

Here's everything we know about Huawei's Mate X 5G folding phone to date. Like the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge, it hints at where consumer technology is heading and has seemingly come out of nowhere.

In contrast, Samsung's has two screens, one of which sits on the outside.

The Galaxy Buds are tuned by acoustics specialists at AKG - one of the brands included in Samsung's 2017 acquisition of Harman International - to deliver a "natural listening experience" whether you're listening to music or taking a call.

This particular section features the phone's USB-C socket. Using its charger, Huawei says the Mate X can charge to 80 percent in approximately 30 minutes.

The Falcon Wing Mechanical Hinge uses over 100 components for a smooth, sleek finish.

That's complimented by a secondary back screen measuring 6.38 inches (2480 x 892 resolution / 25:9 aspect ratio).

Samsung has introduced us to a whole new category of a smart phone. "The barriers in the USA are just getting more hard". Amazingly, the Huawei Mate X can combine both these 5G frequency bands (on compatible carriers) to get download speeds in excess of 6Gbps. The curiosity is apparently raised because of the foldable nature of the device, all of which are expected to be revealed on March 24 at its 2019 Mobile World Congress media event starting at 8 a.m. EST.
