This month will mark the band's debut appearance at the awards, in a dream come true for member Suga, who told Jimmy Fallon previous year that a goal left on his bucket-list was to "go to the Grammys".

BTS, which took Los Angeles by storm last summer with several sold-out concerts, will be among the presenters at the Grammy Awards this Sunday, when they could also win the first Grammy ever awarded to a K-Pop act.

BTS is also nominated this year for Best Recording Package for their "Love Yourself: Tear" album.

The 61st Annual Grammy Awards is just a couple of days away, and fans are now excited with the reported appearance of BTS.

It is unknown which award BTS will present, but the band's name started trending worldwide on Twitter shortly after the news broke.

Their competition in the category includes singer-songwriter Mitski and her album Be The Cowboy, and art rock musician St. Vincent and the album Masseduction.

Variety did not reveal details of the award in its report. The lovely and talented Alicia Keys will host the iconic award show that will be loaded with A-list stars from top to bottom.

BTS has been nominated for one Grammy award this year.

The rap superstar Kendrick Lamar leads the Grammys with eight nominations.

The announced performers are Camila Cabello, Cardi B, Miley Cyrus, Dan + Shay, H.E.R., Little Big Town, Ricky Martin, Post Malone, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Shawn Mendes, Janelle Monae, Maren Morris, Kacey Musgraves, Diana Ross and Ariana Grande.
