How Neymar Reacted To PSG's Champions League Victory Over United

Manchester United and Paris St-Germain have been charged by Uefa following their Champions League last-16 tie at Old Trafford yesterday.

Neville hopes Sanchez can find some kind of form by then, with the former Red Devils defender telling Radio 5 Live: "There was a 20-minute period in the second half and United didn't touch the ball and Alexis Sanchez definitely didn't".

"PSG is not just about me - it has an awesome team with great athletes and a genius coach".

Solskjaer lost both Anthony Martial and Jesse Lingard to injury in the first half as United crumbled to the heaviest home European loss in the history of the club.

Without two-thirds of their star-studded forward line, Kylian Mbappe alone was still too good for United's defence, while Angel di Maria - on his return to Old Trafford - and Julian Draxler also shone.

"In the Champions League you can't be dominated in midfield and the whole evening, Manchester United were dominated in midfield".

United have won only one of their last 10 knockout games in the Champions League, a painful statistic Solskjaer must change in Paris next month if his return to the tournament is not to prove a damp squib.

As for the Champions League, Solskjaer said the club will aim to get to halftime of the second leg with at least a 1-0 lead.

Di Maria, who struggled in his only season at United before being offloaded to PSG in 2015, sent in the corner that Kimpembe raced into the penalty area unchecked to meet with a volley.

However, despite their injuries, PSG is still a very talented side, so if United want to have a legitimate shot at getting through to the next round, they need to exit this first leg with a victory.

"Of course Neymar is hugely important and Cavani is fundamental to us, but football is played on the pitch and we showed that today".

"It was one of those experiences that can go either way", Solskjaer said.

"You could see that we hadn't played at this level for a while and we will have to learn". "It's not going to be a season-defining one for us".

"I don't think Manchester United have any chance in Paris", added Neville.

"We're on a great run, in a great state of mind, but it's a big step up and they have quality throughout the team".
