Leno: Arsenal Ready To Pounce On Top-Four After Chelsea Result

The north London side's next Premier League game is a home clash against Southampton on Sunday 24 February.

It may not have been pretty but Arsenal held on valiantly at Huddersfield to register our first away win in six games, and we are still amazingly in with a chance of reaching our top four target if we continue to ground out wins like that. The possibility to catch them is there because we are only three points behind Chelsea and one point behind Manchester United.

Pleased to have returned and ready to help the team, the 3-year-old added: "Yes, I was happy to be back after two months and I was excited".

So far the Gunners have managed to keep only four clean sheets since the start of the Premier League season but according to Unai Emery, he is not too anxious about keeping clean sheets. "I think today I am very proud with our work".

"We are here with the players who I think are okay to play", the Gunners head coach told a news conference.

"We still have to believe we can finish in the top four even while knowing it will be hard for us".

Arsenal actually moved ahead of Chelsea on goal difference and now, Bernd Leno has insisted that the Gunners are now ready to push on for Champions League qualification.

At the heart of the problem is their defensive record - Arsenal remain the only team in the Premier League without an away clean sheet. "We prepare every day for every competition and this is what we are aiming for". Our motivation is very great and every player wants to struggle every match and be consistent over 38 matches.

The Gunners next fly off to Belarus for the first leg of their Europa League Round of 32 match against BATE Borisov on Thursday night.

The club's Spanish manager has said they will keep fighting in their quest to qualify for next season's Champions League, but admitted it will be a "difficult" task for them to do so.
