Rodgers guided Celtic to two Scottish Premiership titles as part of seven domestic trophies during his time in Scotland, with the club now eight points clear at the top of the table.

Rodgers has signed a deal until 2022 with the Foxes.

But now the club will have to complete the feat without him and instead under the stewardship of Neil Lennon, who has made a sensational return to Parkhead.

The Swans won widespread plaudits for an impressive first season under Rodgers in the Premier League in 2011/12, where their stylish displays helped them to an 11th-placed finish.

The home side, who went into the game on a run of six league games without a win, must have hoped for better after Christopher Kane gave them a 15th-minute lead.

Ex-Celtic and now Lyon forward Dembele however, took to Twitter to share his thoughts on his former manager's decision to leaves the Bhoys midway through the season.

Lennon won the Scottish Premiership three times during his last four-year spell at Celtic.

Joining the Club's established team of First Team staff will be Assistant Manager, Chris Davies; First Team Fitness Coach, Glen Driscoll; and First Team Coach, Kolo Touré.

Despite having played as recently as Sunday and entering what will be a massive three months of the season, Celtic find themselves under new management with the departure of Rodgers to Leicester City.

'I've got things to think about myself, my own personal aims and ambitions'.

Leicester City has named Brendan Rodgers as its new manager, the club announced on Tuesday, just two days after firing Claude Puel.

The 10-man home side battled through the second half to hold off intense Celtic pressure only to succumb to an added-time victor by substitute Odsonne Edouard to keep them eight points clear of Rangers at the top of the table.

Stowell said: "He's just come into the dressing room after the game".

'I don't want to be compared to Brendan.
