Mark Jackson Ripped Rajon Rondo During Lakers Loss

LeBron James moved past Michael Jordan and into fourth place on the NBA's all-time scoring list, but it was otherwise another disappointing night for the Los Angeles Lakers in a 115-97 loss to the Denver Nuggets.

Late past year, Lakers All-Star forward LeBron James publicly stated that he would appreciate the chance to play with Anthony in Los Angeles if the opportunity presented itself.

The Lakers' star scored 31 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists for the game bringing his career tally up to 32,311.

When LeBron James started the Wednesday night game against Denver Nuggets, there was no hype on social media and there was too little pre-match build up about the record he was about to break.

"You've got to appreciate him", Harris said of James.

While it may have made sense earlier in the season, at this point in time it is quite possible that the addition of Anthony would cause more problems for the Lakers than it would fix. Ingram missed his second straight game with a shoulder injury, and Kuzma joined him after spraining his ankle Monday.

Lakers president of basketball operations Magic Johnson was one of the first to congratulate James on Twitter. If he maintains his points-per-game average, LeBron will reach the mark set by Bryant in around 49 games.

The Lakers, who have lost four of their last five games to fall three games under.500, trail the Spurs by 4.5 games for the last playoff spot in the Western Conference.

It's a big deal now because the Lakers are in free fall.
