Obama DOJ blocked Federal Bureau of Investigation from scrutinizing Clinton Foundation

Democrats are desperate to hide their own history of deception, and Special Counsel Robert Mueller's investigation into nonexistent collusion was the flawless way to distract the American people from their poor record of pulling punches when it came to prosecuting wrongdoing within the Obama administration.

"I can tell you that in no way would that extramarital affair have any power in coercing me to do anything other than obeying the law and doing honest, competent investigation", Strzok said.

Page, who served as a special counsel to former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe, has been criticized by Republicans for exchanging texts with Peter Strzok (a former FBI counterintelligence official) that were critical of Trump.

Strzok had worked on three major investigations before his firing previous year.

Rep. Collins has previously released the transcripts of the congressional testimony of Bruce Ohr and Lisa Page. But his comments in the transcript of the closed-door interview are the most thorough to date explaining a text Strzok sent Page saying they could not take the "risk" of Trump getting elected.

In a tweet Wednesday, Paul also stressed how Page said she knew of "almost no evidence of collusion" in the federal Russian Federation investigation as late as May 2017.

As Washington Post reporter Dave Weigel noted, Graham was referring to DOJ's handling of the Clinton email investigation.

Strzok also said Comey initially concluded Clinton had shown "gross negligence" in how she handled classified information - a finding that could lead to charges - but dialed that back to "extreme carelessness" by the time he finished his memo. But Strzok stressed that due to an agreement between the [Department of Justice] and Clinton, they were not allowed to search Clinton Foundation emails for information that could help in their investigation. A report in the New York Post states a number of Federal Bureau of Investigation agents believe a deal was struck and that an agreement was made not to prosecute Clinton.
