Raiders Might Lock In Left Tackle Trent Brown "Pretty Quickly"

Raiders Might Lock In Left Tackle Trent Brown

Per Schefter, Brown is expected to start at left tackle for the Raiders and take over for 2018 first-round pick Kolton Miller, who will shift to right tackle.

With Trent Brown reportedly heading out the door, the Patriots may have a ready-made replacement at left tackle waiting in the wings.

Le'Veon Bell finally got his wish after a dysfunctional/nonexistent final season with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

ALAMEDA, Calif - The Oakland Raiders are giving Trent Brown the richest contract for an offensive lineman in National Football League history, signaling a sea change for what had been one of the best and most dominant units in the NFL.

His four-year deal with Oakland is for $66 million, with $36.75 million guaranteed, ESPN reported.

"He'll have a ton of suitors, but Oakland will be ready and is willing to spend for star power even after acquiring Antonio Brown", he reports.

As for which scenario is more likely - Bell or Brown? If Brown is heading to Oakland, this is another big move for first-year general manager Mike Mayock, who looks to have a knack for this whole GM thing.

The 6-foot-8 behemoth was a force on the New England offensive line last season, replacing Nate Solder as the man tasked with protecting Tom Brady's blind side. Prior to that, he played five seasons with the Patriots and was a member of two Super Bowl championship teams.
