'The Voice' contestant Janice Freeman dies at 33

One of The Voice's most memorable contestants - Season 13's Janice Freeman - has passed away unexpectedly at the age of 33.

According to her rep, on Saturday afternoon, Freeman began complaining that she couldn't breathe properly, and in a matter of minutes, required CPR from her husband. After her husband performed CPR on her, she was treated by paramedics and later pronounced dead at a hospital.

Although she was clearly full of life and doing all she could to stay healthy, Freeman had been dealing with various issues related to her health prior to her passing.

She was on "Team Miley" and made it into the top 11. She also beat cervical cancer and survived kidney failure as a child.

Jennifer Hudson posted a clip of that moment on Instagram on Sunday. Last year, she shared a video on Instagram thanking Cyrus for helping her out financially when her family was looking for a new home.

News of Freeman's sudden death shocked "The Voice" fans.

She and Miley remained close following the end of her run on The Voice.

"@janicefreeman the voice of hers we got to hear and the bit of life we got to watch her live was a blessing and inspiration to us all! My heart and prayers go out to [her] daughter and family". "You got somebody that got your back".

Our thoughts are with Janice's loved ones at this hard time.

Yesterday, Saturday, on the 2nd of March, her spouse called emergency first responders and upon their arrival, the professionals tried to revive Mrs. Freeman, however, unfortunately, she passed away that evening. Her final performance as a competitor was a rendition of "Shine" as originally performed by Collective Soul. Posting a photo of a rainbow in the sky, Cyrus thanked Freeman "for everything", noting that the rainbow perfectly represents the late singer.
